A natural haven where individuals, couples, and families can withdraw from their normal environment to rest, relax, and enjoy God’s creation.

Our Retreat Center is situated on 130 acres nestled in the Maple River Valley, 5 miles south of Owosso, Michigan. Gently rolling terrain surrounds 40 acres of woods; a pond is well stocked with fish and also provides a wonderful summertime play/swimming area.

Trails wind their way through the woods and along the river, providing tranquil places for private times and nature walks. A beautiful outdoor gazebo seats over 25 people and is used for quiet reflection and group meetings. Our Purpose

Nehemiah Ministries began in 1996 in the hearts of Ron and Jeanne DeHaas when God inspired a desire in them to assist those in pastoral ministry or missions who needed help with marriage, family or personal issues. It was in that year that God graciously provided the 130 acre property now known as Nehemiah Ministries. Nestled in the Maple River Valley Basin, Ron and Jeanne envisioned a place for ministers to retreat, relax, and refresh themselves in its natural beauty. The lovely two bedroom guesthouse with full kitchen, laundry, and bathroom facilities would make this particular place a “home away from home.”

A place for ministers to retreat, relax, and refresh themselves in its natural beauty since 1996.
